Understanding why we eat.

I have teamed up with Active Mind Consultancy to offer a workshop to help clients make long term changes to their diet. In my experience most clients can lose weight, it is keeping it off that proves difficult as new habits drop by the wayside and life get in the way of change. The objective of the workshop is to look at strategies that can help clients make changes and develop long term habits that can help them achieve their goals.

Who are Active Mind Consultancy?

Active Mind was created by clinical psychologists, Dr Jen Woodhouse and Dr Aisling Martin (Ash). Jen has clinical and research experience in weight management, and Ash’s experience is within the field of behaviour change. We both feel passionate about sharing our knowledge in an accessible way, so that people can learn to understand their habits, and how to change these to promote a positive and healthy lifestyle.

We all have a relationship with food, but is yours getting in the way of you achieving your weight and health goals? There are many reasons why we eat, hunger is just one of them! Whilst most of us know what we need to do, there can be many reasons why we struggle to put this into practice. We help you to address the REAL reasons why you struggle with your weight, and support you to make lasting changes.

What they offer

We know that it’s not just what, when, and how much we eat that we need to address when trying to improve our weight and health. In collaboration with Nutritional Know How, we have developed a series of bespoke workshops to help you to understand WHY you eat, and how this might be getting in the way of you reaching your goals.

This initial 2 hour workshop will help you to understand:

Emotional eating
Social influences on eating habits
Types of hunger
How our thinking affects our eating
Motivation and self-sabotage
Strategies for overcoming unhelpful  habits

The workshop will be held on the 12th Nov between 10.30am Р12.30pm at Rising Sun Country Park NE12 9SS Рcost £45.
